Catherine Bacos is a learning scientist with nearly 20 years of experience in education. With a background in research, teaching, and learning design, she leads the implementation of the WHO competency framework at the WHO Academy where she is also developing a system to support learning design at scale. She is dedicated to enhancing the education and training of the health workforce, with a focus on emerging technologies. She holds graduate degrees in both curriculum and instruction and special education, has presented her work at conferences, and has published book chapters and articles on the use of technology in education.
