Michelle is an educational economist who joined the community of medical education research in 2018. She focuses her research on health disparities from the perspective of educational supply. She publishes widely in both domestic and international peer-reviewed journals. One of her studies on China’s rural medical education programs was published in Medical Education. Her translated work introduced the tool of economic evaluation to the Chinese education practitioners and policy makers. She received highly competitive funding from National Science Foundation of China. Michelle is dedicated to serving the under-represented group through rigorous studies that provide economic information for education decision-making.
