Hamaiyal Sana is Paul Farmer Global Surgery Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School. She is the first-ever chair of the WHO Youth Council. She got her degree in medicine from Bolan Medical College, Quetta in 2022, and her Bachelors in Economics and Sociology from University of Balochistan in 2018. She is also the elected Liaison Officer to the World Health Organisation (WHO) representing 1.3 million medical students from over 130 countries for International Federation of Medical Students Association (IFMSA). She is also a member of youth advisory panel of the editorial board of Lancet Child and Adolescent Health since 2021.
