Master in Health Economics from the Center for Economic Research and Teaching and the National Institute of Public Health; He also studied for a degree in Economics from the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico.. His lines of research include financial protection, health policies and systems, labor economics, economic evaluation, and health and cancer systems. He is the author of 75 research papers and 12 book chapters. He belongs to the National System of Researchers in Mexico.
