Mr Patrick Malahi from Kenya has served as CHV for 10 years, selected by Kibera community. His background is in industrial chemistry. His work entails making household visits, disseminating health information at the household level, referring patients to the link health facility, making follow-ups, defaulter tracing for under 5yrs in immunization, ART and TB programs and writing monthly reports. He is married with two children, a boy and a girl and he enjoys watching documentaries, playing football and reading journals. Having been born and raised in Kibera, Patrick has seen tremendous changes in his community using the community strategy approach.
