Dr James Guwani is the Special Advisor on Community Health Programme within the Office of the Director, Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. For over 25 years, he has played an active role in the HIV/AIDS response at the country, regional and global Level. For the last 20 years he has served in various position within UNAIDS in Zambia, Guyana, Geneva, Uganda, South Africa and Ethiopia. James holds a Doctorate degree from the Pennsylvania State University (US), an MPH from The Ohio University (US), a MA from the University of Oslo (Norway) and a BA from the University of Ghana (Ghana).
