Ayesha Khan has over 25 years’ experience as a gender and development researcher. Her thematic areas of interest are feminist movements, women’s political participation and democratization, sexual and reproductive rights, and economic autonomy. She has a PhD in Development Studies, and is author of The Women's Movement in Pakistan: Activism, Islam and Democracy (2018). Her work is published in leading academic journals and she has served on the governing bodies of advocacy NGOs in Pakistan.
