Dr Ayat Abu-Agla (MBBS, MPH, MD Comm Med, MFPH, PhD) is an assistant professor in health policy at Health Service Management Centre at University of Birmingham Dubai. Her primary area of research involves global health, reproductive health, performance, and implementation science for over 18 years. Her work informed Health system and Health workforce reform at global level through the Working for Health Action Plan (2022-30) and national Federal Ministry of Health- Sudan as Director Research at HRH Observatory, nationally developed performance measure of community midwife, led HWF migration management policy and spear head the first bilateral health agreement between the Sudan and Ireland. She worked at different levels of WHO including WHO headquarters.
