Dr Ivanov is leading the Global Programme for Occupational and Workplace Health, responsible for setting global policies, coordinating WHO’s action and assisting countries in protecting and promoting health at work. He is medical doctor with MPH in occupational health and PhD in sociology of health and environment. In the past, he has worked in the public health system and the ministry of health of his native country, Bulgaria, in the Institute of International Health, Michigan State University, USA and in the WHO Regional Office for Europe.
