Dr. Karen Michell is the Research Programme Lead Occupational Health at IOSH. She completed her PhD in governance and quality of occupational health services in South Africa. An accomplished international author and presenter on multiple subjects, including occupational health service delivery, quality, governance and legislative compliance. Her role at IOSH involves identifying emerging issues in occupational health, research support, interpretation of research to practice and research project management. In addition to her IOSH role, since January 2022, Dr Karen Michell has been the Chair of the International Commission on Occupational Health (ICOH) Scientific Committee for Accident Prevention (SCAP).
