Ave Põld is a research assistant at the Translational Health Economics section of the Heidelberg University Hospital’s Department of Conservative Dentistry and serves as a co-chair for the Global Health Workforce Network Youth Hub. She completed her dental training in the University of Tartu, Estonia in 2017 and continued work as a general dentist until 2020 when she started work as a product owner for the World Health Organization Academy until 2022. She is currently completing her studies for a Master of Science in International Health at the Charité-Universitätsmedizin in Berlin and holding a position as guest lecturer in global health at the University of Tartu, Estonia. Ave is a board member of the Estonian Dental Association and has been actively involved for years in various global health student organizations, mainly the International Association of Dental Students where she also served as president in 2018-2019. Her areas of interest include health workforce, adult learning, health technology, global oral health.
