Dr. med. Bernhard Gibis, MPH, Head of workforce management of National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KBV), an arms-length institution of the ministry of health providing medical and psychotherapeutic services for 72 Mio publicly insured citizens. After completing his residency in gynecology and obstetrics, he received his MPH degree in Hannover. He has been working for the KBV since 2008 and has spent several years abroad on topics of evidence-based medicine (especially HTA) and health care planning as a staff member of international (research) institutions such as for the WHO, Regional Office Europe (Head of the Health Information Unit). Member of relevant professional societies, review activities for national and international journals, expert activities among others for WHO and EU Commission. His current focus is on cooperative forms of care, work force management and care coordination.
