Francisco Rodriguez Garza specializes in strengthening health systems at a global, national and local level. He is currently Sr Manager in Advocacy at Last Mile Health where he focuses on the development of continental policies and mobilization of resources in Africa for the professionalization of community health workers and the strengthening of primary care service delivery in partnership with the African Union and Africa CDC. He also serves as co-lead for the Political Prioritization department at the Africa Frontline First initiative. He has experience as a speechwriter for high-level politicians, has written multiple publications in international journals, has coauthored chapters in public health books, and counts with numerous opinion pieces in national and international newspapers. Francisco holds a medical doctor degree from Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico and a master’s degree in public health with a focus on health systems and policy from Johns Hopkins University.
