Maureen Mahoney currently occupies the role of Director General (People Management) and has worked for the Maltese Ministry for Health for the past 27 years.  She is at present overall responsible for the Human Resources function of the Ministry after occupying various positions within the Health Sector. She recently led a multi-disciplinary team in drafting a Health Workforce Strategy entitled ‘Supporting and Empowering the Health Workforce – 2022 to 2030’. This was launched last October and Ms Mahoney is now leading its implementation as part of the National Health Strategy for Malta.
